dont let them fool you with it wont hurt!

So following the birth of our little bundle ( OK not so little), it has finally come to the time that I'm due back to work.

When I was off with him however I fell over, carrying him, in the rain, looked a complete twit, knees bleeding, elbows scratched, and his bum soaked as he sat in the puddle.

I thought that all had healed until I got back to work, my job though is 90% based with computer work, and that's where the problems started.....

4 weeks back and the aches in my elbows were getting really bad.  we're really lucky and have an occupational health nurse who said pop along to the physio....Hey we have one of them too! so yesterday was my first session with him.

Now I know from experience (2 car crashes in one year neither my fault! I might add!) that it can be tender, and sometimes the actual treatment brings more tears to your eyes than the accident in the first place, but believe me NOTHING could have prepared me for this!

Oh yes he says, tennis and golf elbow... good start don't play either!

How does it feel if I massage this here (as his thumb prods into that gappy bit in your elbow) painful, that hurt...OK what about this - thumb prods that fatty bit just below the inside of your elbow really hurts stop it please now!

Right, lets just check your neck and shoulder...I'm just going to move your ......CRACK as my neck starts to realign to where it should be (allegedly) oh and yes this tendon in your shoulder - whoa - finger nails embedded in the plinth, and sure fact that the big boss has heard my screams form the other side of the building!  OK just as I thought, so I'll just manipulate this a bit....sit up how does that feel?

Honestly...it felt a lot better once the pain had eased...

See you next week then, by the way, it'll be a few weeks until we get this sorted....

this morning, i wake up, with it 10 time more painful that the rest of the week, have had to call the GP's for something a bit stronger than brufen... and guess what, next appointment is in 4 days time....
